Alto Horn
The E Flat Alto Horn.
The alto horn is a small valved brass instrument in the key of E-flat that looks like a miniature baritone horn but is played by French horn players.
It is mostly used in marching bands.
The written range is the same as the cornet (f-sharp to c'''). Notes written for the instrument sound a major sixth lower. The alto horn can be found in English brass bands.
