Budget cuts 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I'm wondering how the cuts are effecting everyone? In our district, they have cut 2 of our 19 music specialists. We will be taking the hit in our elementary ensembles. Anyone else?

Yes, my district had to trim 3.5 million from the budget, and we only have 10 schools. We're losing 3 teachers, which of course will spread our classroom teachers around to even more schools. The district also approved cuts for music K-3 and 5th grade band. After all is said and done, the band will return and some of the 2-3 classroom music. Hang in there! Any good advocacy ideas out there?
