March 15 is the date for us to elect new members to our Bay Section Board of Directors. These elections are vital to the future of our organization, and I invite and encourage all of you to participate to help elect a board that will serve the needs of our musical community and our profession.
Through the years Bay Section has flourished due to the tireless efforts of our leadership teams past and present, and our section is looked upon with admiration and respect among our peers statewide. Our Winter Conference is one of the premier events in music education in California, and we offer the greatest number of festival opportunities for our membership throughout the region.
I would like to welcome you to get involved and help us continue our commitment to a quality music education for our students and communities. The two-year positions open beginning this June are President-Elect, Recording Secretary, Band Representative, Orchestra Representative, Classroom/General Music Representative, Medals Representative, Festival Coordinator for Large Groups and Representatives for Areas II, IV, VI, and VIII.
